AO3 - Produce a Marketing Campaign: Promotion

The promotion I will be creating for "Dead Air" is a sample of merchandise, a USB bracelet with the the brand's logo printed twice on it. I produced this using my initial drafts and roughs in AO2.

Initial Research
I did some initial research into different companies who are renowned for branding merchandise.
  • www.fluidbranding.com - responsible for corporate gifts, company merchandise, etc. a UK only company, which may be beneficial for merchandise in the UK. They also do lots of work in brand campaigns which is appealing for other merchandise.
  • www.flashbay.co.uk - a company who brand USB pens and USB bracelets with logos for a cheaper price if purchased in bulk.
  • http://www.vistaprint.co.uk - a famous print company who are responsible for branding a number of items including T-Shirts, mugs, etc.
Evidence of Production
I produced the USB pen design on Macromedia Fireworks due to the fact it's a simple product. Opting for a simple form of design software, I was able to create the merchandise with ease.

I used a template that was supplied by a website I used in my initial research, www.flashbay.co.uk. Flashbay will be responsible for the production of the merchandise, I will just be designing it.

Legal and Ethical
The brand, "Dead Air", is copyright to the producers of the film and would, in the industry, be licensed to an official merchandise distributor and vendor, like the Big Brother shop I found in my initial research - www.bigbrothershop.com.

The USB pen is suitable for pretty much all ages apart from children due to small parts. I would guess that the target demographic would be young males (15-24), fans of horror and thrillers, and technology fans.

Final Draft
Below is a final digital draft of what the USB bracelet will look like.
